Scoutreach offers a variety of activities in which Scouts invited to participate.
Go See's
are ScoutReach field trips.
It's
an event for registered Scouts to learn more about future hobbies or careers. Scouts will be able to experience hands-on activities and be provided the opportunity to spark an interest for a future hobby or possible career. Scouts and their families are invited to attend. The events are run by council program specialists.
The
pinewood derby
is one of the most popular and successful family activities in Cub Scouting. Pinewood derby cars are small wooden models that Cub Scouts make with help from their families. Scouts learn craft skills, the rules of fair play, and good sportsmanship.
Resident Camp
is a three-night summer camping program at
Bovay Scout Ranch
during July for Cub Scouts entering 1
st
through 5
th
grade. Cub Scouts will enjoy BB guns, archery, sling shots, crafts, sports, games, campfire, and lots more.
S.O.S - ScoutReach Outdoor Survival Camp Wilderness Camp
is a weekend campout for Scouts to earn merit badges and and practice their Scouting skills.
Twilight camp
is full of fun and excitement. Camp is held every night for one week in June and Scouts have the opportunity to make new friends and share all kinds of new experiences including BB guns, archery sports, nature crafts, and more. Tigers, Wolves, and Bears work on achievements and electives. Webelos work on activity badges.
Weekend camping
is an opportunity for Scouts to work on Scouting skills during an overnight camp.
Council Activities
The
SHAC Scout Fair
is a fabulous, fun-filled day for Scouts from Tiger Cubs to Eagle Scouts to mingle with thousands of other Scouts and their families, participate in hundreds of hands-on activities, and taste gourmet camp-fare cooked by Scouts. Scout Fair is held at the Reliant Arena.

are a wonderful way for units to raise money Coupon Books are easy to sell.

SHAC Scouting for Food
is a council-wide service project in conjunction with the Houston Food Bank and "Souper Bowl of Caring.” There is no better way to show our Scouting spirit to the community than by participating in the annual Scouting for Food drive!
Selling
popcorn
is a wonderful opportunity for units to earn funds to support their entire year of Scouting by selling Trail’s End gourmet popcorn. Online sales begin August 1.
