Many volunteers are needed to make camp a success, so please consider volunteering. Adult volunteers can also register their non-Scouting children ages 3-5 (potty trained) or girls ages 6-13. Boy Scouts and youth ages 14-17 can also volunteer. The camp is being held at YET Center (10918 1/2 Bentley St, Houston, TX 77093) from 4:00 - 8:00 pm.
Scoutreach Corps is a way for Scouters, Eagle Scouts, parents, and Scouting alumni to give back to Scouting by donating their skills to help our most needy Scouts. Donate a few hours, a day, or a weekend to help directly with 7,000 Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts enrolled in the Sam Houston Area Council’s ScoutReach program. Volunteers are needed to help with Cub Scout and Boy Scout meetings, weekend events (e.g., pinewood derby, cuboree, camporee), weekend camping and summer camp.
Volunteers must be 21 years of age, take Youth Protection Training online at www.my.scouting.org every two years, and complete a BSA Scout application. If you we're ever a Boy Scout, an Eagle Scout, current or past Scouting volunteer, or are experienced with working with youth, then you have the necessary skills.
